Sharing your success: Graduation 2018

It’s the event we all look forward to - the graduation ceremony. Every year we relish seeing our members’ hard work and commitment to learning formally acknowledged in the company of their family and friends. We’ve captured some memories from of this special occasion here. Very well done to all our graduates.

Nominations to Council

With a new CEO and a new strategy pending, it’s an exciting time to become more closely involved with the Institute. At our AGM in March, two seats on our Council will become vacant. The Council is responsible for the effective, prudent and ethical oversight of the Institute. It sets our strategic aims and is collectively responsible for its long-term success. If you are a member of the Institute, why not put your name forward?

Meeting our long-term members

As one of the oldest banking institutes in the world, it is no surprise that some of you have been members of the Institute for many years. We discovered only recently that some members are with the Institute for over 70 years and many more joined over 40 years ago. Over the last two months we’ve enjoyed meeting some of our long-term members in Cork and Galway and we look forward to meeting more of you in 2019.

Meet a member

Meet Clodagh McQuaid, one of our newer members, who’s working hard to keep up with the pace of change within our industry and with her lively five year old. In the last three years, she’s completed two programmes with us and now has a new job with KPMG. Despite a busy schedule, Clodagh still finds time to volunteer with Special Olympics. It sounds as if she might need to go to the desert island for a rest!

Meet a member of our team

We’re delighted to introduce you to Adrienne Tallon, one of the longest serving members of the Institute team. Adrienne has been helping to organise graduations for 29 years. Her enthusiasm for, and enjoyment of the day remains undimmed. Unlike the Kindle, which she hopes to take to the desert island…plug point anyone?
